Erica Cullmann

Erica Cullmann, Director, Consulting Services, is a nonprofit professional with over 25 years of experience in the association world working with scientific societies. Her experience spans governance, operations and strategic meetings management. She’s skilled at volunteer development and board and committee management. She also has an extensive background in facility operations and sales, tradeshow management, and hospitality.

Erica started her career at the Jakob K. Javits Convention Center in convention services and facility operations. She then spent seven years at the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) overseeing the volunteer and meeting services team. As SVP Operations at the New York Academy of Sciences (NYAS) she was responsible for the shared services teams which supported the Academy’s membership, scientific programs, meetings and events for the last sixteen years.

Erica is an active member of Meeting Planners International (MPI) and the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA). She’s served on various committees and customer advisory board throughout her career. She is a certified Digital Event Strategist (DES) as well as a certified protocol officer from the Protocol School of Washington. In her volunteer capacity she has held leadership roles at the New York Junior League and the Pocono Environmental Education Center and is currently the Vice President of the Seward Park Coop, a 6,000-resident development on the Lower East Side of Manhattan.

Erica resides in NYC with her husband and two sons. She loves the outdoors and, in her downtime, you will find her on a ski hill officiating a race or taking some runs.
